Rubitha (Rubi) Balasubramani is a Sophomore at Savannah College of Art and Design, pursuing a BFA in Illustration and minoring in Animation. Using her South Indian background, she hopes to diversify the industry and work in media such as animation and games to empower and inspire children and young adults of all cultures through whimsical and fantastical works. 

Her main media of choice is Acrylic and Digital Painting and her use of saturated and vibrant colors are reminiscent of cultural Indian garments. Rubi's use of stars and other motifs make her pieces whimsical and dreamy, serving as an escape from reality to all those who view her work.
